Audiometry is a diagnostic test that assesses hearing by measuring a person’s ability to hear different pitches (frequencies) and loudness (intensities) of sound. Performed by an audiologist using an audiometer, the test uses pure tones via headphones (air conduction) and a bone oscillator to evaluate hearing loss type and degree.
Pure Tone Audiometry: The audiologist presents pure tones (single frequencies) at varying intensities to the patient.
Air Conduction: The patient wears headphones, and the sound travels through the outer and middle ear to the inner ear.
Bone Conduction: A small device is placed on the bones behind the ear, bypassing the outer and middle ear to directly stimulate the inner ear.
We treat ear infections (Otitis Media), hearing loss, earwax blockage, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and balance and dizziness issues.
Our ENT team manages sinusitis, nasal congestion, allergies, nasal polyps, and deviated nasal septum.
We provide treatment for sore throat, tonsillitis, voice and swallowing difficulties, laryngitis, and hoarseness.
